Before You Start

You need to be 17 and have a valid provisional licence. Complete a D1 form from the Post Office and send it to the DVLA (DVLNI in Northern Ireland) with your passport or birth certificate and a passport-sized photo as ID

Lesson Charges

• Normal lesson £22.00 per hour.
• PAY FOR 10 HOURS AND GET 1 HOUR FREE
• PASS PLUS(minimum 6 hours training required) £130.00
• Guaranteed pass Crash Driving Course after 2 hour assessment. Call for more information

How many lessons will I need?

Driving Standards Agency research shows that the current average is 45 hours of tuition, with an additional 22 hours private practise to pass. Your instructor will give you an idea of how long you are likely to need after your first lesson. You can help keep this low by taking two-hour lessons and following our easy tips for practise with parents or relatives.

Visual Driving School recommends 2 hour lessons. In two hours, you'll have time to take in what the instructor says and put it into practice. And that could cut down the number of lessons you need, helping to reduce the overall cost. With one-hour lessons you often spend more time recapping on the last lesson and preparing for next time than you do learning!
